Strawberry Time

The weather is so beautiful.  Let's get out and start having fun in the garden.  Its time to start taking all the dead leaves off those strawberries and getting them ready to start producing.  After you've taken all the dead stuff off then fertilize them really well and water that fertilizer in.  Once it's watered in cover the ground, not the plants with fabric or dark plastic.  This will heat the ground up and get those strawberries to start producing.

Don't forget to pinch off the runners once they start coming out and pinch the flowers as well for the first month or two so that they plants will get bigger before they start producing fruit.  I know it's hard but trust me on this.  You need to do this so that your fruit will be bigger and sweeter.  Go here for a little more detail.
